Car pricing

The Car Pricing module allows users to estimate the market value of a vehicle and apply adjustments based on condition, mileage, and repair costs. The final price is used within reports, trade-in evaluations, sales listings, and internal dealership workflows.

1. Overview​

The pricing view provides a centralized overview of:

  • Estimated market price
  • Damage-related repair adjustments
  • Final evaluated price
  • Price range tolerance
  • Hero car image (see car information page for more details)
  • Optional administrative fields (for dealership usage)

The final price reflects:

Total Price = Market Price + Damages + Optional Adjustments

2. Market Price​

The module displays an average market price based on external vehicle data (such as year, make, model, mileage, and equipment).

The market range slider shows:

  • Lower bound (e.g., -15%)
  • Average market price (default)
  • Upper bound (e.g., +15%)

This allows the evaluator to position the vehicle competitively within the market.

3. Damages & Repair Cost Adjustments​

The system allows users to estimate the cost of vehicle reconditioning through the Damages panel.

Users can:

  • Toggle items ON/OFF (include or exclude in price)
  • See cost breakdown by category (Parts, Labor, Paint, etc.)

Damage Cost Integration​

Damages affect the total price as:

Total Price = Market Price + Damage Costs

No Damage Case​

If the system detects no damages, the UI displays:

"No damages found."

In this case:

  • Damage cost = 0 €
  • Total Price = Market Price

4. TTC/HT Mode​

The UI may offer the toggle:

Show TTC

Allowing dealers to view:

  • Price HT (ex-VAT)
  • Price TTC (inc-VAT)

VAT rate may depend on:

  • Country configuration
  • Dealership settings
  • Vehicle category (B2B vs B2C)

5. Total Price Calculation​

The final price displayed to the user summarizes:

  • Market Value
  • Damage Costs

Displayed typically as:

Average Price:     12 000 €
Damages:              0 €
-------------------------

Total:             12 000 €
  • The module does not block navigation if no damages exist.
  • Pricing may update based on VIN or equipment decoding.
  • Market values may depend on mileage & region.
  • All pricing values are stored for audit and reporting.
