What is a Lease Contract?
A Lease Contract allows a buyer to use a vehicle for a defined period in exchange for recurring payments, without transferring ownership during the lease term.
Key Characteristics
- structured monthly payments over a predefined term
- mileage limits and excess mileage fees may apply
- maintenance responsibilities outlined contractually
- end-of-lease options (buyback, return, or renewal)
Use Cases
A Lease Contract is typically used when:
- the customer prefers lower monthly payments instead of a full purchase
- the vehicle will be returned or replaced at the end of the term

Exceeding this allowance may trigger excess mileage fees, outlined below in the default terms.
Additional Terms & Conditions
A free text field lets the user add custom conditions concerning:

- maintenance responsibilities
- wear and tear conditions
- early termination clauses
- special dealership policies
If this field is left empty, only the standard legal lease terms will apply.
Default Lease Terms

- The vehicle must be returned in good condition, normal wear and tear excepted.
- Excess mileage fees may apply beyond the annual mileage limit.
- The lessee is responsible for regular maintenance.
- Early termination may incur additional fees.
These terms are designed to reduce disputes and protect both parties.
